The team has voted Andy Armstrong as the Team MVP and Garrett Forrester as the Team's Most Inspirational Player..
First team All PAC-12: Claunch, Mulholland and Frisch Honorable Mention: Meckler, Salgado, Forrester, Abel NO MENTION: Pfennigs, Melton, Hjerpe, Armstrong
The committee was a quilting group that meets in Winnemuca once a month to vote.

ok, I'll bite. how in the holy heck do any of those three deserve first team ? Especially when compared to those who didn’t even get mentioned…like Armstrong. WTF? Replacing Armstrong is my biggest concern for the 2022 Beaver team.

Grenier had a rifle for an arm. Army made some plays nobody should be able to make. If he was 6' he would be all world. Not sure who gets that job next year but they will have some huge shoes to fill.

Not sure who gets that job next year but they will have some huge shoes to fill. Hopefully, Mason Guerra turns down the money and honors his commitment to play in Corvallis. Otherwise, Jake Dukart (if he stays) could move over to short, which would free up an everyday spot for someone like Gretler at third. I am sure that there are other options, as well, but those seem the most obvious to me at the moment.

ok, I'll bite. how in the holy heck do any of those three deserve first team ? Troy Claunch hit .370 in conference play, third in the Pac-12 in batting average and highest among catchers. Easy first team pick. Daniel Susac was also named All-Conference, as well as All-Defensive and All-Freshman. Nate Yeskie signed him away from Mitchy Slick, when Yeskie left for Tucson. And I have money that we are going to be kicking ourselves for years to come. Frisch has a 1.16 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP and .177 BAA in conference play. His 1.16 ERA is the lowest among eligible pitchers in the Pac-12. Easy first team pick. Mulholland leads the Pac-12 with eight saves in ten opportunities. His 13 total saves is also tied for first place in the Pac-12 with Zach Grech, who also made All-Conference. Mulholland has not looked like his dominating self this year but still an easy first team pick.

Melton made honorable mention, not Meckler. Hjerpe not making the cut is a travesty. He is first in K/9 in conference and fifth in ERA. If Frisch made the list, Hjerpe should, as well. A 2-5 record in conference play hurts him, though. Pfennigs did not really put up that great of numbers in conference play. He had 20 strikeouts and a 3.94 ERA. His 4-1 record is really all to recommend him. Of course, that appears the only reason to keep Hjerpe out, so I have no clue, really. Army has to be upper half of the conference defensively, but Army hit .200 in conference play. That's a tough sell.

Yeskie's gift that will keep on giving for the next 2+ years.

The all-conference team consists of 32 players. That's crazy.

Lots of things go into 'team' selections . Yes, stats and performance , But deference to Seniors and those in their last year/s,impact on team dynamics , academics, attitude, relationship with coaches , etc .Maybe motivating a return player ? We ( fans), cannot possibly see the big picture and everything that goes into these types of selections ! I just look at the list and say CONGRATULATIONS to the winners !

The all-conference team consists of 32 players. That's crazy. So about half the roster of 1 full team during COVID. Sounds about right.😎(I completely get your point)
