Dallas baptist goes down to New Mexico 12-6. DBU was a 2 seed.
Utes battling. Got up 2-1 early. Ole Miss got 4 in the 5th. Utah came right back with 3 in T6 to tie at 5
ESPN 3 has a bunch of games. It's a hate hate relationship w/ESPN. The feed locks up on me fairly frequently
But the NCAA box score is for cr*p

Don't look noww. all of a sudden (Todd Mansfield shout out) Utes go up 6-5 in T10 w/a RBI double. Utes a 4 seed as Pac 12 champions
3 outs to go and Utes have their closer out
Utah wins. The 1 & 2 seeds in that bracket lose. So it's 4 seed Utah vs 3 seed Boston College
Utah is a gritty team. No way they should have won the Pac 12. But they kept winning games on heart. But just like the student that finishes at the bottom of their class in Med school. they still call you Doctor.

GO UTES! Way to represent.
#4 seed Rhode Island (who??) beat #1 seed South Carolina 5-4 earlier today. B2B HR's in the 4th inning helped a lot.
Can Cinderella keep her glass slipper?

Fullerton has LA Tech on the ropes. Bases loaded, one out, tied 0-0 bottom of the 8th. Go Titans!
Fullerton takes 1-0 lead into the 9th inning. This is a resumption of yesterday's game. The winner faces Mississippi State next. Remember them?
Titans win, bring on the MSU Bulldogs! I just asked their Superfan to bring home a W for the west coast today.

#4 seed Xavier destroying #1 seed Vandy 15-1, top of the 8th inning. Vandy gave up 13 runs in the 7th. A grand salami, also four walked in runs and a run walked in due to HBP. Talk about the wheels falling off.
UC Santa Barbara will play Xavier tonight, while Washington-Vandy are in the elimination game.

Vanderbilt has to cope with the drowning death of one of their fine, young pitchers on Thursday. He was out fishing and swimming with a couple of other players, and the young pitcher didn't make it to shore. As much as I hate the southern and eastern teams, I feel badly for Vanderbilt in this one.

Carolina and Vandy getting beat by #4s) when I read your post. Horrible news...I can't imagine how tough it would be for anyone - let alone a bunch of 19-21 year olds - to grieve and play baseball in harmony. Praying for those kids....baseball is a game, but nobody should have to bury a peer at that stage in life!

As much as I hate the southern and eastern teams, I feel badly for Vanderbilt in this one. I had completely forgotten about that horrible news. No wonder they lost. More upsets today, as defending CWS Champs Virginia lost at home in the bottom of the 9th, on a walk off HR.
