When you undertake the task of assembling rosters and player eligibility, you are asking for trouble. At best, it's a WAG. The potential 2022 roster I posted was taken from the official 2021 roster (OSUBeavers.com) with the roster additions we have been made aware of by several OSU websites. In terms of elibility, I simply moved the current status provided in the official 2021 roster ahead one year for 2022.
In resonse to the Wizard's comments: Regarding your issue with Gretler, Dukart and Froemke, here is what I see. Dukart and Gretler were part of the 2018 recruiting class, played in 2019, got to re-play the Covid-2020 season and played in 2021. They have played 3 years but only 2 count - their freshman and sophomore year, That would make them Juniors in 2022 wouldn't it? The official 2021 OSU roster says they were Sophomores this 2021 season. The official roster lists Froemke as a Sophomore this year which tracks with his career. He played the 2019 season at Oregon, the Covid-2020 season at Santa Barbara CC and the 2021 season at OSU. He's played 3 years, only 2 count, so he would be a Junior next year. Correct?

Why is this a topic with NAMES now ? Are you not creating a lot of doubt in OSU’s commitment to the present team members ! Not a good thing for morale and teamwork a couple of days before the Tourney! After the season is over, maybe ?

Not a good thing for morale and teamwork a couple of days before the Tourney! After the season is over, maybe ? This is a day-to-day reality for the boys on the team, and there is no getting around it. Squad size will be smaller next year. Some players won’t make it. It’s the way it is.

Division ! College Baseball is very competitive. Only the very best high school players can play at that level. You have to be good to even participate in the roster competition - called fall baseball. Everybody doesn't get a trophy at that level. Earning and keeping a roster slot requires you to perform at a high level consistently. Players understand this - they are competitors and understand the dynamics.
Where Oregon State really shines is in placing the kids that fall short. The OSU coaches have always worked the phones finding a place for the player to play and a good fit for the guy. More than any other wish, they want a chance to play the game. With the new transfer rule, they are now open to play at any level and are no longer restricted - being forced to drop down to Division II, III or NAIA to play immediately.
There is no shame in being cut by a PAC-12 team. When PC made a call to discuss an available player, the other end was listening. Schools get excited about landing an Oregon State player.
