Almost as dumb as the Pittsburgh play. 2b had the runner. There were two outs. Focus on the one. Different play. If Claunch gets in a rundown and Boyd scores before they get Claunch out, the run counts. Yeah. You’re right. Then the catcher was stupid throwing to second.

No matter what happens with the regional or no regional, one can see some of the building blocks for a better future when one considers guys like Melton, Boyd, and Meckler with some of the new guys coming in to the program, and some of the new guys really do have bats. Dernedde is the real deal as the future shortstop. Jmho.

Boyd can bunt. Lol. Andy can't bunt. Changes the bunt situation entirely.

Boyd can bunt. Lol. Andy can't bunt. Changes the bunt situation entirely. That was actually a terrible bunt by Boyd right back to the pitcher. The pitcher just made a bad decision. But, at least he got the bunt down.

Todays Beaver OF, in maybe the most important game of PAC 12 season: Fuchs - Boyd - Meckler.
Odds, in February, that this would be the case: infinitesimally small.
Beavs up 8-1 top of 7th. Burns in to P.

My stomach is hurting right now, I need a groundout in the worst possible way, Jake.
But a K is even better. My tummy thanks you.

Burns in to P. And Fuchs can't run. But the deadwood hasn't produced. So the gimpy guy is an improvement. Henry S. predicted a couple years ago that Meckler would contribute. I thought Henry was full of crap as Meckler looked like a weak, computer nerd. Meckler's arms are now ropes of muscle, and he is obviously a contributor.
