Right now .. this entire season is just embarrassing ! Not just looking at the record , but some of the stats - Striking out more than any other team in the PAC 12 Pitching is so unreliable ( walks and hit batters ), that yo wonder what happened to the successes of the past ? How can everything go so haywire ! Defense is unpredictable ! I guess we are a golf and soccer school now !

Seems if we go 0-furd we can be left out looking in I should have noted...the 0 was wins, not runs! Then again it just COULD BE "0" Runs. How weird if the Beavs go 0-furd (in runs, that is), and yet somehow do squeak into the field of 64. Such bizzarro symmetry with 2016 when the Beavs swept Bruins on final weekend, and held UCLA to ZERO runs in 3 games, and DID NOT make the field. Comparing the talent on the 2016 Team vs. the 2021 Team, one of the two had Omaha potential, the other - not so much.

D-1 Baseball's latest "Projected Field of 64" [Saturday Morning....or is that 'mourning'?], has the Beavs still 'in' as a #3 seed in Spokane - that follows 18 innings of being shut out at Sunken Diamond.
At least Beavs have not yet appeared on D-1's categories of "Last Five In" or "First Five Out" (the latter category does include Cal. at #69).
9 innings to Go. Go Beavs.

BI do think we make it in regardless of what happens today because the Pac 12s high RPI. In addition, Beavs have an RPI of 24 which I wouldn't expect to drop much if we lose today.

I just ask myself to what end? I’m not sure getting walloped in a regional will help matters much. Maybe Canham will see and pick up some good coaching philosophies? But just hoping the team “gets hot” seems severely over optimistic to me.
