Not sure how to look at this info... brings up a mixed bag of thoughts...
-Are there that many other 10 win pitchers to only make HM?? I realize most of his success came in NC and in relief, but look at pitching league wide, really? HM? -Nick only regular over .300 in Pac play... and very deserving award!! -(4) 1st teamers and 16-14 is bothersome. But I only saw three truly play like 1st teamers... Nick, Ice, Fehmel (gets an earlier call as was clearly warranted...1st team with 12/13 W's) -KJ really the best of the 1B in Pac at .236 only .357 OBA with the 15 walks? -Love Donahue, but .273 with 21 ks vs 11 bb and .941 FA for OF is 1st team stuff? He was .339 overall... but with 30 ks and still .950 FA. 2nd team, or HM... but 1st teamer?
Overall just a really weird year league wide. See the post season a lot like last year... Pac 12 makes no noise... none advancing... of course it's been a weird year so???!

Of course, leading the league in the rbi category by a comfortable margin by KJ shouldn't be taken into consideration.

Could be some ass covering with these picks. I think most know Beav's were screwed. However, again the overall pitching was Average and the Hitting got worse rather than better as time went on. I still couldn't believe with only one out and a runner on 3rd our 3 - 4 guys couldn't hit the ball, somewhere. K, K, K. K J better learn how to hit a slider and go to right field or he will struggle to get over 300 next year. If I was coaching against KJ I would hang my Pitcher by the N-ts if he threw anything but a breaking ball to KJ.

Simply cannot hit the curve or slider away, every team caught on eventually and he was mostly harmless to those that figured it out, the only hits he got wit hfew exceptions were mistakes that got inside or fastballs that were over the plate. He'll figure it out I think, but until he proves next year that he can lay off that pitch, or hit it up the middle or to right, he will be a liability in those situations. Logan, IMO, which doesn't count for anything, should stay, he too developed holes in his swing, and towards the end of the season was clearly not the threat he was earlier, but he'll be long gone. Madrigal could be special next year, and if Grenier can learn to hit consistently, he will likely be a great addition too. Pitching will still be a question mark next year the overall level has to pick up significantly to be competitive and eliminate the bias, real or not, that screwed us this year. Who is coming in that will be counted on to contribute next year??

We might have to hope/go after a transfer or two that is proven at D1 level (top level JC) and can help right away. It is ok to hope on a couple guys developing, but we are depending on basically the entire staff/pen getting better and Fehmel not having a soph slump. That is too big of "if", especially if we don't improve on .232!!!
