Exactly... he now needs to chill some and take it a little easy this summer. He's a young arm that went from 17 innings of HS relief his senior year, to pitching 3 ties the innings at the D1 level than he did all of his HS career.
We've had enough arm injuries in this program over the last few years.

Exactly... he now needs to chill some and take it a little easy this summer. He's a young arm that went from 17 innings of HS relief his senior year, to pitching 3 ties the innings at the D1 level than he did all of his HS career. We've had enough arm injuries in this program over the last few years. How many innings did he pitch in summer and winter ball? That, according to James Andrews, is the cause of most LRSs. Pitchers who pitch in spring, summer and winter at a time that their bodies are still developing are the most likely to experience injury to the UCL during their collegiate/early pro career. So 17 HS innings to 100 D1 innings may not be a problem if he pitched 100 or so during summer ball.
