I checked my account with the ticket office and see that they are not offering any baseball tickets for sale to me. Since I am a long time donor and baseball season ticket holder I think they would have at least messaged me about ticket availability if they were going to do so.
Sad!

so with state and CDC 'no mask' policy....will there be more fans allowed in Goss for the UA series? The attendance has nothing to do with mask or no mask. We are still technically in high risk. That is what is limiting capacity. However, with the Benton County vaccination rate being so high, it is probably that we will get moved to low risk by Friday. However, until the Governor comes out and declares this, the ticket office is not going to offer any more tickets. The Governor should have a press conference either today or tomorrow. That is when OSU will know if they can allow more fans.

Benton County was at 65+ percent of eligible people vaxxed last Tuesday, the highest percentage in the state. With the clinics last week and three more planned this week, including a big push for the teenage demographic this Wednesday, we should be at 70+ by Friday, when we're supposed to go to low risk. That means half-capacity, if it's official by then.

As a side note, the Bend Elks, with their former Beaver coaches and current Beaver players, will still probably have very limited fan attendance. Hospital is packed. ICU is pretty full. Ventilators are humming. Pretty high vaccination rate, but the infection numbers SUCK. It sure appears to be that the most important point of common sense and personal choice and responsibility is being ignored: if one is ill at all, stay the phuck away from other people.

I am sure hoping that it's changed in 6 weeks when we are scheduled to be over there on vacation, and going to an Elks-Knights game is a big part of our plans.

Deschutes County has a high vax rate. How many of the hospitalized are from Jefferson and Crook counties, which have a low rate and might be moving their most serious cases to the quality medical facilities found in Bend?

It is Deschutes. I am a recluse, but I communicate with a lot of people including medical professionals. Just shake your head and say WTF. Deschutes County itself is dwarfing even the Portland counties on per capita positives.

The 19-30s are still at least half, or more often more than half, of Benton County cases. I do think our numbers are decreasing as more students get vaxxed.

Very high vaccination rate. Good. Destination for young people. The only real reports from tracers is that the outbreak is from small group gatherings. The hospital says age of infected is a heavy trend towards younger with the sick being sicker and harder to treat. What the "younger" means isn't defined.

Prediction: Deschutes County will be FINE in terms of COVID restrictions.
The metric the GUV announced last week (% vacc-ed instead of: cases / hospitalizations / deaths / blah blah blah) is very favorable to Deschutes County with it's high VAX rate. By 5/21 i believe Deschutes will be in the "LOW" category.
Elks are being very tuned-in/responsible regarding the 2021 season (I'm a season ticket holder). Don't worry CENTRAL OREGON will BE a baseball destination come summer.
