The selection committee is all NW Pac-12 Presidents.
From Wilner’s article:
“The CEO Group’s executive committee has led the process from the start: Washington’s Ana Mari Cauce, Washington State’s Kirk Schulz and Oregon’s Michael Schill, who is halfway through his two-year term as chair.”
Very surprised that no California schools are included in that committee.

I do like that he helped launch MLBAM. That experience was some real pioneering work on the digital media front. That said, there’s a lot of gaps in his resume for the role, so we will see if another left-field hire bites us again.
