LUBBOCK REGIONAL: 1-Texas Tech, 2-UCLA, 3-Miami, 4-UConn PALO ALTO REGIONAL: 1-Stanford, 2-UC-Irvine, 3-Baylor, 4-Nevada PITTSBURGH REGIONAL: 1-Pittsburgh, 2-Southern Mississippi, 3-Arizona State, 4-Wright State EUGENE REGIONAL: 1-oregon, 2-Gonzaga, 3-Iowa, 4-SUNY-Stonybrook TUCSON REGIONAL: 1-Arizona, 2-South Carolina, 3-Fairfield, 4-Grand Canyon AUSTIN REGIONAL: 1- Texas, 2-Oregon State, 3-Alabama. 4-Bryant
The Beavers and Bruins have rhe roughest row to hoe in Regional play. The Eugene regional is almost laughable. I doubt we will see anything like that from the NCAA committee.

Now that Oregon State has passed Southern Miss in RPI, I really think that they head to Pittsburgh with Alabama and Southern Miss and Arizona State travel to Austin. I still think that Texas Tech is a softer matchup than Pittsburgh or Texas. Travelling might be more daunting to Lubbock than Pittsburgh, though.

Would not surprise me to have them give the quacks a cakewalk regional.....the NCAA has a love affair with Nike U......FTd
Luckily, even if that happens, and they win, they'll get knocked back down to earth in a super.

I'd rather go to Texas, or tech, than Pittsburgh based on the super matchup with vandy. You are looking at the D1 projection. Vandy is matched up with a team from the Big Ten, Conference USA and Ohio Valley Conference in the projection. The last time that the Nashville Regional hosted a team from the Big Ten, Conference USA and Ohio Valley Conference? 2007. Michigan upset #1 Vandy, allowing Oregon State to host the 2007 Corvallis Super Regional. That 2007 Vandy team had two starters, who were top 10 picks and subsequently played in the majors, too (David Price and Mike Minor). I don't think that Vandy's starters are going to want to throw their arms out in the Nashville Regional or Super Regional. I would personally be more worried about having to play Tech and then Notre Dame in the Super. Vandy has good pitching at the top but has to maneuver through the SEC Tournament and then the Nashville Regional. It is easier for me to see a route through Nashville right now than through South Bend.

Unless Gonzaga somehow hosts, they'll be rewarded with a short travel. But the Bulldogs will not be a cake walk.

Gonzaga will be a tough two, wherever they wind up.

We won't host so we are at the mercy of the committee. We haven't played well enough against better teams, so any team worries me in the postseason......really, our only chance is Abel coming around and Melton back and crushing.

Avista Stadium is already booked both the Regional weekend and the Super Regional weekend.
