former UH QB 37 years old Sad news. He should have declared after the 2006 season. Tough accident in 2010 did not help matters. 2006 Oregon State @ Hawaii. Colt Brennan moved from third to second in single season passing touchdowns. (Brennan would break the record in the Hawaii Bowl against Arizona State in Dirk Koetter's final game.) Oregon State was matched up against the Nation's #1 scoring, passing and total offense.

Very sad. Seemed to have over-come some substance abuse demons. Sorry to hear this.

Not sure who that is, but since the last name is spelled differently I’m guessing no.

Brent's dad, Steve, and Colt's dad, Terry, are brothers.

As a person who lost two brothers and a sister to addiction, I can say that a person dealing with these issues is never truly cured. Even after being clean for years all it takes is one slip up and they are back to square one. As much as I feel sorry for the addicted it is the family and close friends that suffer the most. They feel the loss of the person over and over.
