Looking for some input from any fellow golfers...
Scheduling a golf trip to Central Oregon later in the summer and wanted to hit one that I haven't played before (in addition to likely playing Aspen and Lost Tracks)... Anyone have strong opinions/general input on Juniper in Redmond or Rivers Edge in Bend?
We've got a fairly wide span in skill level so trying to find something that won't run a couple of our guys thru the ringer.
thanks

Been a while, and I'm sure others will chime in... Widgi Creek is/was a good track for a variety of levels of golfers.

I like Widgi Creek too. Lost Tracks is also fun imo.

The back nine at River's Edge is slated to be turned into a housing development. The draft proposal is somewhat humorous.

Was having one of my best rounds in a long time at Pronghorn until the turn. Front 9: hitting all the fairways, missing all the bunkers, chip & putt (HEY GUYS - LISTEN, GOLF IS SO EASY!!!) and then I took an absolute beating on the back (Hey guys did you see where my drive went? In the water you say? Oh another 3 putt? Freaking golf).. Given Bend real estate market, I'm not too surprised R.E. potentially being turned into housing.

It may be conveniently located in Bend proper, but it's not a quality golf course, and relies on some tricked up holes that are dreadful. An easier course, that is not too long, is Crooked River Ranch. It is a quaint golf course, offers some amazing views, and the management there will treat you well. As for Juniper, its a difficult course to navigate and your higher handicap players will be in over their heads. The alternative I would suggest would be Eagle Crest, Ridge course. It is wide open, and a fair test of golf for all handicapers. If you are looking for a less expensive venue, I would suggest Meadow Lakes Golf Course in Prineville. It's a bit of a hike over there, but is a fun, and fair test of golf and features some water hazards . Hit 'em straight!

I love Crooked River, I just know some of the other guys had played it and wanted to check out something new. Might have to override and lock that one in instead...
