Right now, the Covid disaster in India/Bangladesh/Pakistan is horrible all out of proportion to even the coverage we see on the news. For every case reported, there might be 20 not reported (or more) and for every death there may be a similar undercount.
In 1918-centric Flu - it is estimated that perhaps 15-20 million of India's population died. This possibility can be seen in the following numbers:
1901 238,396,327
1911 252,093,390
1921 251,321,213
1931 278,977,238
From 1901 to 1911, the subcontinent's population (what is now India/Pakistan/Bangladesh) rose by 14 million. Between 1911 and 1921, it fell by almost 1 million, and between 1921 and 1931, grew by 27.5 million.
15 to 20 million people (out of roughly 250 million, are missing) from the second decade of the 20th century.
Today, India/Pakistan/Bangladesh has 1.78 Billion people, with a vaccination rate of 2% fully vaccinated in India, and even less for Bangladesh. Over 100,000,000 people are over the age of 65, and fully 80% of the countries peoples lack anything beyond basic or even rudimentary health care. Poor nutrition and poverty go hand in hand.
Also, 80% of deaths are never officially recorded - we may never know.

We won't wonder, at all.

About 10-12 years ago I had to travel to Delhi a couple of times for work. I was just completely blown away by the sheer number of people, poverty, conditions, etc. Was tough to see. Sadly, not surprised whatsoever.

It’s only the flu.

Governor Cuomo did say that we should more concerned about the flu than Coronavirus. And our Speaker of the House said that we should go to Chinatown. But yes, that one guy got it all wrong, so let's ignore everyone else saying that Trump was worrying about Coronavirus too much, and break the pitchforks and torches out.

WTF are you babbling on about? Way to get the thread locked.
