But watching McMahon run down that shot to right field and get the ball back in quickly was great! I thought it was going to be a triple. I’d still like to see him working in the outfield more. I think when he hits, he’s better than Preston.

If, if, if. We really have 4 or 5 Arms that could raise hell in the Playoffs. We really need KA back to semi normal. We have a chance if these guys can figure how to hit consistently. I think we out hit UCLA.

I think we out hit UCLA. 24-17. Not only did Oregon State outhit UCLA, but the Beavers outhit the Bruins every game. With walks, HBPs and errors, UCLA wound up with more baserunners, though, in the first two games. If Oregon State could knock it off with the unforced errors, the Beavers' pitching staff would be scary.

And the Cougs crushed the ucks to win that series, and Stanford lost. So a good day for the Beavs all around.

Your two reported results appear to be rather irrelevant at this point as a result. USC winning is better for Oregon State than Stanford at this point. But Long Beach State, Sacramento State, UCLA and Washington State combined to absolutely crush Oregon State's RPI today, so I am not very enthused about the lone helpful USC result at this juncture.

When three of the four teams in front of us in the Pac-12 lose, it helps us if we want to win the Pac-12. Which I do. And we took 2 of 3 from Wazzu. So them winning against a highly-ranked team helps us. I doubt our RPI changes appreciably after this weekend. But keep looking for those negatives.

I'm glad UCLA lost today, regardless of RPI.😀 We should've won this series 2-1.

I'm just glad I don't have to look at John Daley anymore!

Even with the free passes (12 BOB, 1 HBP) on Friday, we were in a great position to win. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I do believe this team could be dangerous come tourney time.

I like the way that the guys are swinging the bats now. Going after the first pitch against UCLA, paid off ! USC next - Good - Forrester is really seeing the ball, and he is strong Fuchs is also really coming around- and pounds the ball when he makes contact / tremendous improvement over first few at bats Ober ( watch out for the curve balls ) and Claunch seem to be in a better spot Meckler has a way of coming through Casey seems to be getting his swing back Army needs to just relax and shorten his swing with two strikes I still like Preston in Center ( defense), and on the bases. His hitting is a little too much in favor of just making contact, as opposed to 'driving' / the ball Kyler - Can get in a positive groove, defensive issues were out of character Better - We get Melton back ( fingers crossed ) Best - I think the starters and the middle relief and closers are getting the job done ( forget Saturday ) I would put the DANGER level at HIGH when you play the Beavers from here on out !
Last, but not least - coaches seem to be more engaged and ( for the most part ), seem to have a new level of confidence ! Go Beavers !

We dropped from 27th to 28th in the NCAAs and Warren Nolan's RPI after the weekend. So I guess our RPI was not absolutely crushed by what happened elsewhere.
