Currently 12th lowest in MLB. Among pitchers with over 30 innings, he is 3rd lowest.
The fact that he is such a good man only makes his accomplishment even more impressive.
He pitches tonight in the second game of the doubleheader, against the White Sox. Certainly will be interesting to see the matchup with Madrigal.

He left after 7 hitters due to left knee tendonitis. Gave up 2 ER and took the loss. ERA ballooned up to 2.27, and Nick did not strike out. 3-3 with 2 scored and an RBI.

He left after 7 hitters due to left knee tendonitis. Gave up 2 ER and took the loss. ERA ballooned up to 2.27, and Nick did not strike out. 3-3 with 2 scored and an RBI. Boyd gave up two singles in the first but struck out two and induced Yermin Mercedes to fly out to right. In the second, Boyd went up on Yasmani Grandal 1-2, just missed up high on a fastball and just missed low on a changeup before giving up a walk on a full count on pitch seven. Andrew Vaughn then doubled to deep center. After throwing two pitches to Leury Garcia, Boyd came out with knee tendonitis. Michael Fulmer, who at one point in time was an Arkansas commit, came on and gave up a base hit to Garcia and then a base hit to Nick Madrigal to allow Grandal and Vaughn to score. Fulmer then gave up a base hit to Fulmer, which allowed Garcia and Madrigal to score, and the rout was on. Madrigal finished 3/3 with a walk, scoring two runs and the RBI for driving in Vaughn in the second. Madrigal is currently hitting .319, second best on the White Sox roster. But they insist on hitting him ninth. |

In a DH league, 9th is considered second leadoff. Table setters who can handle the bat, bunt, situationaly hit (hit and run, hit to the right side with a runner on second and no outs, sacrifice fly with runner on third). Perfect spot for Nick, especially with Anderson hitting in leadoff.
