I never said "don't let the door hit your...". I thought it was amusing to see folks on the BAYLOR board expressing that opinion. I much prefer Rueck's coaching approach and demeanor to Mulkey's and when they met head to head, Rueck was 2-0. "Hate" is way too strong a word for my opinion of Mulkey. OK, but I think a lot of people would prefer her 3 National Titles over our zero. Do they? Somehow I thought the people of Corvallis and OSU are different. Sure, we want the trophies and the recognition, but I don’t think we want them at any cost, like lots of other sports programs. |

Pat showed a lot of strategic restraint in his public comments throughout his career as OSU baseball HC. particularly with respect to: The Heimlich fiasco The Mike Lissman/Maggie Yasuda fiasco. The Dallas Buck break in fiasco The John Wallace/Jorge Reyes urban sharpshooting fiasco The ongoing struggles with Bob DeC over AD fundraising priorities vs Baseball facilities fundraising His courtship by Notre Dame for their HC position. He was a team player and any disagreements with the AD and/Admin were addressed directly with them and not aired out on a public stage. Not sure the same can be said for Mulkey. Much more of a loose cannon. |

Publicly berating a player on the national stage and blaming the loss on her is not "fiery". That player couldn't wait to transfer out. While her new coach can be emotional, she always has her players back.
I don't hate the she devil, I just don't have any respect her.

Much more of a loose cannon. Yes, PC was less demonstrative publicly, but he had a similar hard ass coaching style in the locker room. And I’m sure many of the players you mentioned felt his rath behind closed doors after those incidents. I’ve worked with two different guys that played for PC. He was no picnic to play for. |

You are right, it was Wetzler “breaking in” to what he thought was his own house but still getting arrested and suspended for a few games. Yea, you get arrested when you’re so drunk you break into the wrong house. He’s lucky he didn’t get shot. |
