I'd like to see a grandstand like Fenway Park's above the left-field fence at Goss. Even if that means moving the fence in 15-20 feet and creating an orange monster. I think those would be premium seats and a nice revenue source and make our stadium distinctive. I'd also like to see the original grandstands at Goss above the concourse be gutted and rebuilt so they top-load, with a press box/suites on top from first base all the way around to third base. I'd also like to see full-size posters or some artwork of our major-league Beavers filling in the gray archways around the outside concourse. It could be a fundraising/donation opportunity, "Nick Madrigal, sponsored by Henry Skrimshander." We middle infielders have to stick together. The course is definitely the biggest problem with Goss. A top-loading stadium would be a huge improvement. Nothing like currently having to look through fences and people walking up to their seats constantly while trying to watch the game.

Agree, but what renovations or additions to Goss would move us up the list? There a couple of items that contribute to Goss like on campus locations, fan base, seating proximity to playing field etc. But there should be an overall plan, and maybe there is, but Goss is starting to look piece meal. I would like to see the grandstands rebuilt. The ingress and egress to the seats from mid-level walkway is terrible. Most of the right side is limited due to Dixon Rec. Snell is an eye sore on campus, but what if they tore down the kitchen, right next to the club house, and pushed the access road to the north and connect to the road on the front side of Waldo. This would provide more room for player amenities ( bigger club house, weight room, offices etc) and a larger concourse for stadium expansion. Now there is the entire outfield and old location of the NROTC minus the road Improvement project. Just some thoughts and I know others posters have more. Isn’t Snell scheduled for make over or demolition or something fairly soon? It looked godawful ugly years ago when I was there, but every campus has one...or two. Unfortunately Snell has found new life as temporary office space for staff displaced from buildings being renovated, and still is useful. Many Peavy faculty were relocated there during construction; I expect some Cordley staff are there now. Probably Owen Hall staff in the future, as some work will be done there as well. It is a miserable eyesore.

But you'd think that during the past 20 years of rapid growth, they could've done something with Snell. It's an ugly building in a prime location.

Prior to the announcement there was not a single lady in the hallway, after the call went out there would be ladies running all over the hallway from door to door!! Never could figure that one out!! Fun times............

Not sure when you attended but back in the late 80’s the building was an eye sore. I just hope before they build something new thay take the baseball stadium into consideration. Same timing. Obviously it was a dormitory at one point in time. And back then, there wasn't much expansion to the campus, so I understood making use of the buildings that were there, even the ugly ones. But with all the new construction, you'd think somebody would've taken an interest in replacing the ugliest and most out of place buildings on campus.

I still think the most cost effective next expansion of Goss is grandstands over the bullpens with a connection to Banners. You could put permanent grandstands all the way out to the batter's eye for a relatively low price per seat and recoup the cost of investment in ticket sales. Agreed that the inner bowl needs a redesign, but according to an engineer I know, the stadium is built to take an upper deck.

Simply put; More offensive potential - Higher floor coming in, higher ceiling for development, better projection for power. More speed. We are starting to see power in people like Melton and Forrester (with consistent batting averages), and we have speed to burn.No compromise defensively. You have to defend at a high level. We are #3 in the nation in fieldingPitching - Same specs with emphasis on power/velo. Dorman likes the big 6-7 inning horse that throws Bee-Bees. We are #3 in the nation in ERA (and that is with bullpen pitching foibles costing us several games - we are wasting great starts.Makeup/Academics - more of same. We've mastered that. This is already underway - you are seeing it in the incoming class of '21 and forward. This is a team that looks to be building towards the playoffs, and given the general level of the teams that we are going to be facing, each game is now a playoff game!

The regular season is played to prepare for tournament time. Once tourney plays starts, anything can happen. I honestly think MC is preparing for the postseason. The current road trip will determine a lot. I really wish we didn't get swept by the ducks, but that's baseball. The highest ranked teams don't always end up in the CWS finals.

Really hate to say, but the Duck team looked good to me. They created a lot of their own luck and they brimmed with confidence and attitude. Sorta reminded me of us. It was a bid deal for their program to sweep us. But just about any of those three games could easily have gone for us. They just didn't. That's baseball. We need to put it behind us and be stronger for the sweep. We have the talent and the opportunity, so it just needs to all come together.
