When are we going to able to go to Beaver games again?? And couldn't they at least sell tix to anyone who's been vaccinated? But, of course, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at how slowly the OSU administration and PAC12 are responding to reality: many baseball fans have been immunized and pose little, if any, risk of spreading or contacting the virus.
Personally, I'm surprised at how much I'm missing being there in person. And I'm sure that having fans in the stands won't hurt us at all, especially during home games where fans at Goss are often a 10th man!
Any way to pressure the powers that be to relook at the situation and catch up to reality??

I believe the statewide restrictions limiting attendance supersede anything mandated by the conference or OSU. And unlike some other states, Oregon will err on the side of caution. Maybe too much, but the OHA is not going to change.
We are not getting out of "high" anytime soon; 24 more new cases yesterday. Now its the 30-49 age group that is showing a big bump, from negligible to almost 50 cases in the past two weeks. More than half the eligible people in the county have at least one shot. Now the students have to start getting jabbed, they've only been eligible since Monday.

What a timely question as the state approached 1,000 new cases of Covid yesterday. And the Stanford team had to cancel a 4 game stretch.

Yeah it’s still a strange year.....I’m not sure how to approach it.....so last year basically everything was shut down, this year they are partially open......I just don’t see this friggin COVID going away.....different variants what have you....so next year do we do the same thing......watching on tv is nice but still not the same as being at the game ..... so do we give up that aspect of our life? I would try to make it to a good series game during the season plus a couple of postseason games but doubt that will happen this year......so next year it’s year 3.......just seeing what your thoughts are on this

OSU must mandate all staff and students for the 2021-22 school year be vaccinated, on campus or off. OSU is consistently the hot spot in Benton County. Students who wish to attend OSU must have updated vaccinations for any number of diseases. Covid is no different.

Now the students have to start getting jabbed, they've only been eligible since Monday. Benton County has less anti-vaccers than most places, but people have to get on the ball and get at least one shot - that gives you 80% (herd immunity level) protection even if you miss a second shot. OSU is still Covid central tho and that is going to keep the lid on attendance as much as general numbers. I have never understood the vaccine resistance. If you sat someone down at a card table and told them "if you pick one card, you have a greater than 1 in 100 chance that you will get very ill, perhaps have long-term debilitating side effects and even die - but if you pick the other card, you have less than a 1.5 million chance of getting very ill, most of us would hope we picked the card that makes us 10,000 times less likely to suffer. But logic is not in play here. Be logical, get your shots. Keep others safer, get your shots.

It would help if the response to Covid wasn’t still so politically divisive. My neighbor, a huge Trump man, will not get the vaccine even though he and his wife are in their upper 60s at least. He doesn’t want to be a guinea pig. LOL I still have my sights set on Fall. I really hope we can move about more comfortably then.

Here we go again with the same topic that will swirl down the political talking points drain.
Yes, everyone wants to go to games in person.
No, we don't know when that will happen.
The End.
