So much for the naysayers who said that Oregon State’s record was not impressive enough to earn an NCAA spot even after their huge upset win over Stanford.
Will open against Virginia Tech in the round of 32.

Great! Wish we could have watched games this spring. Oh well, it's only four months or so until the 2021 season. Not much of a wait.

So much for the naysayers who said that Oregon State’s record was not impressive enough to earn an NCAA spot even after their huge upset win over Stanford. Will open against Virginia Tech in the round of 32. When I saw that NCAA was going to reduce the tournament field, I fell into camp naysayer. Didn't have a good feeling when only 36 teams would get the invite. But I was also wrong when comparing the number of fingers on my hand to the number of wins for the men's basketball team. These were teams with a higher RPI, along with their strength of schedule and opponent's strength of schedule than OSU who didn't get an invite.
Team RPI SOS OSS
Oregon State 40 134 30
Lafayette 6 46 42 Vermont 7 3 9 West Virginia 10 6 14 Quinnipiac 14 41 66 Loyola Maryland 15 13 1 Liberty 24 16 72 Oakland 25 61 93 Northern Kentucky27 116 43 Western Michigan 28 50 7 Loyola Chicago 30 30 99 Rider 32 72 18 UNCW 35 25 127 Akron 39 8 25 UIC 40 79 77 Fairfield 42 43 105 Navy 43 165 3
The only upset in all the conference tournaments was Air Force winning the WAC as a 6 seed.
