Then, Oregon State would be entitled to play Texas in the Holiday Bowl. Oregon was ineligible to play in the 2000 Sun Bowl, because the Ducks had played in El Paso in 1999. As such, Oregon would have had to play Boston College in the Aloha Bowl. To answer your question, my cousin was a loon. The Beavers help themselves! |

A minor pre-note for one of the 'looking ahead' series: AT Arizona State.
The devils are struggling, having lost today to BYU, which is remarkable because the Corvallis Gazette Times led off a feature story back on June 30, 2020, with the proclamation:
"One of Oregon State’s top baseball talents announced last week that he is transferring."
Of course that was Kai Murphy who currently plays for his father's old team. He was potentially a 2-way player with the Beavers (though his only appearances were as a relief pitcher).
He's pitched 1/3 of an inning so far this season for the Devils...but he's started 29 games in the field (RF): BA .231 / on-base % .278 / 34 SO & 7 BB.
