This week the NCAA Council voted to pass the one time transfer rule. This rule will allow any D1 player to freely transfer to any other D1 school without having to sit out a year of competition as they have in the past. What's everyone's thoughts on this and how do we think this will affect the Beavs in the near future?

What's everyone's thoughts on this and how do we think this will affect the Beavs in the near future? It's only for 1 time during the player's career. I don't have an issue with it. It's better than the current pandemic rule of a free for all without sitting out. Some players are on their 3rd and 4th schools in other sports.

In the current lineup, I can’t really see anyone who would benefit from jumping ship, unless they are not happy with the coaching. But the pitching staff is so deep that I could see losing a pitcher if we aren’t careful. Someone might be anxious for more innings.

You can have too much of a good thing - some of our pitching woes seem to me to be due to "let's get this guy an inning and this guy an inning and this guy an inning", rather than sticking with the hot hand.

Good points on the pitching but I would expect quite a few members of the current staff to be gone after this years draft and/or graduation. Mulholland, Abel, Verburg, Pfennigs, Salgado, Watkins, Frisch, Mundt, possibly more I can't think of off top of my head.
This many arms leaving should create an awful lot of available innings for next year

But all the rest, too? 😭 Would love to see Verburg get up to full strength and pitch more. I was looking forward to at least another year with Salgado and Watkins, if not two years. And I was hoping Frisch and Mundt would be the go-to arms next year.

But all of those arms are eligible to be drafted and have the talent that may warrant a draft pick

In reality the only kids on the current roster that were recruited by any of the current coaching staff are the few juco transfers we have. Unlikely that all are happy after all the changes that have been made last couple years. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we see at least one surprising defection after this season.
