Why do you have to make personal insults? You think personally taunting players to a level that get's you banned from games is OK? I don't. Yes, she shouldn't have said it was racist, but the fan's behavior was still wrong. I see you like playing this game en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whataboutism

You think personally taunting players to a level that get's you banned from games is OK? I don't. I’m not talking about them I’m talking about Minyon Moore. Go ahead and insult me personally it only reflects back on you. I'm saying it's possible that when one of our fans was taunting her, that she thought she heard something racist. Taunting players at sporting events is stupid. Calling her a slandering liar reflects back on you.

She is exactly and precisely that Really, who did she slander? Our whole fan base? And you know for sure her that she knew what she said was untrue? Yes because. 1. Her initial allegations described specific racist verbal assaults. If they actually occurred and she believed they actually occurred why did she take her Twitter accusations down? She should have stood by those comments. If those initially alleged verbal assaults had been hurled, neither she nor USC would’ve been satisfied with one fan been banned for two measly games. If the situation has been reversed and one of OUR players had been verbally assaulted with racist insults in an opponent’s gym, I sure as hell wouldn’t of been satisfied with one fan being sat down for two games 2. The subsequent investigation by Oregon State, which was shared with USC and the Conference, and which USC AD, USC WBB, coaches and players took no exception to did not find evidence to support the allegations of racist verbal assaults. What more do you need? That’s my opinion and those are my supporting facts. I’m not really interested in discussing this further because I get the sense that you just like to argue. I am not trying to persuade you so don’t bother trying to persuade me

This topic will solve nothing. Whether it occurred or not it looks bad. I really think we need a black assistant and we need to be sensative on this issue. I do not know the future but we need to be wary of perceptions.

I don't think you described that great, but we had an African American coach who we shifted to an AD position in order to bring in Holsinger. His position was then eliminated with the COVID layoffs in the athletic department. So, he went to Texas Tech. Eric was a good coach and an even better person.

I am not trying to persuade you so don’t bother trying to persuade me I sure USC told her to take the tweets down. I'm just saying that she may have mistakenly heard things that weren't said and you calling her a slandering liar implies that she was well aware of what she was posting was false. There's no way for you to know that for certain. I'm just saying that unfortunately I've heard Beaver fans make racist remarks at games and it makes me twinge. Every fan base has some idiots.

You are spot on billsaab, this type of stuff is off limits now days.

Minyon Moore is not the only one to speak ill of the OSU fan base. I saw a quote from former Bruin Jordin Canada a couple years ago about fans in Corvallis. She did not use the "r" word but otherwise expressed similar critical sentiments.

Here is a nice interview with Brian if anyone is interested. He reflects on his time in Corvallis a good bit. gogriz.com/sports/2019/8/28/inside-the-den-podcast.aspxHe apparently cut six players, including the daughter of Shannon Schweyen who was fired after the 19-20 season. Schweyen was a coach there for a very long time, and she has a large fan base who was very disappointed when she was fired and I’d assume they will not be very fond of Holsinger. Hope he finds success there and is able to turn it around.

A lot of fireworks on the grizboard! IMHO, they're in great hands with BH. Here's another article from the Billings Gazette that add a little more insight. Didn't Matt Welsch write for the GT a while back?
