I won't miss seeing that ass on the schmucks sideline. This will save some wear & tear for my TV, less throwing stuff at the screen when Campbell shows up !  |

Sacramento State is a pretty tough job. No coaches have done a lot of winning there and the facilities are not great. He has a lot of great recruiting connections in that area and I’m sure he’ll turn to overseas recruiting as well.
I would say Montana is a far more appealing job.

I wonder if he was already eliminated from consideration for the LMU job, or if he just jumped at the first opportunity. LMU seems like a better position than Sacramento St.

They offered him the job is probably the main box they checked.

I get 99% of my news on women's basketball through Benny's House. So I know Campbell is generally disliked by this crowd. But I don't understand it. If he is such a good recruiter, why do we think he's an a-hole? And if he is an a-hole, how does he recruit? Is it all shoe company money? And if he's a good coach from a high level program, I think you would do better than bottom of the barrel Big Sky to find a head coaching gig. It's fascinating from someone's perspective like me.

Easy to speculate but as was pointed out earlier, only successful, established male coaches are getting Power 5 jobs right now. Considerations for mid-major jobs include (but not limited to) family, # of scholarships, asst coach pay, buyouts. Just saying....

Pretty simple, because he left here for the Ucks. If Katie did the same she would be treated the same and called the same a-hole. I think he was way too religious for the likes of Eugene or even Corvallis. Funny he did not look in the southern states. Sacramento makes no sense. |
