The reward for sweeping the Beavers looks to be only good for 4 spots. I think is partially due to how they won. I mean we choked games one and three away. Had we played to our ability, we easily could've won the series 2 to 1......if they would've just flat out dominated, I bet they wouldve moved more |

I also think the pollsters may also have the thought, 'congratulations on your sweep, but Oregon State isn't that very good, and you lost to Portland in midweek. Beat someone who is better.' |

Sort of a glum feeling this morning.....losing the way we did on Friday and yesterday just feels like a bad hangover. Hoping our guys get back up ....knock the dirt off em and start acting like a wounded animal and friggin kick some butt. They have the pieces to do that......This next series actually looms larger than the one we just got swept in.

We better take the Cal series at home because after that its a California vacation. @ UC Irvine (3) @ Loyola Marymount (2) @ UCLA(3) I expect us to play well this weekend after the "Eugene debacle." |

It took me till this morning to find the energy to visit this - I believe that the squad will get better, but not until coach Canham can get a relatively consistent lineup. A lot of guys come to the park not knowing if they are playing and where they are batting. I can't explain the bullpen - but we had three fantastic starts get three no decisions. Oh well, we can get back to winning, but there are two regular season series that I hate to lose, the one that parks us just outside the field, and the dam ucks. Time for that players only meeting......

Time for that players only meeting...... The Oregon batters were very patient at the plate in those situations. Last night, sure looked like that Duck player pulled a Conforto and leaned into that pitch that scored the tying run. But we can't whine and we can't blame the umps or anyone else. All weekend, we were a base hit from taking control of each game. It sucks that the Ducks swept us, but if that doesn't light a fire under this team, not much will. |

Like anyone needs to be reminded, Mully had that kid 0- 2 when he was hit. Now the rest of the story! They said it was only his 3rd time at bat in College Ball. He was so excited I thought he might wet his pants.
Duck were A-Holes but one thing their new Coach has done is given them intensity. Those kids really, really wanted to win.

Totally agree - we showed no emotion - with biggest miss on Sunday ! When we had them 4-1, we quit competing !
Bad case of letting the foot off the gas when you had so many guys on base and either no or fewer than 2 outs.
Our big swingers are all trying to lift the ball out of the park, instead of hitting line drives right up the middle !
The only guy that seems to get it is Meckler !
Everyone else is just lost - even Armstrong!
The starters threw well enough to win all three games , but the coaches were not very good on timing or relief pitcher selection . I know this is all rear view type of thinking, however, unlike with Casey ... I can’t just sit there and say ; ‘ he always seems to make the right moves’ ( at least not anymore ) ! Go Beavers - Puhleeze !
