Nobody was covering second base. Can't throw it if there is nobody there. Dukart was covering 3rd either.

Blue has been terribly inconsistent with high curveball. Not helping but got to swing bat. Would have liked a delayed steal there to get some action The second strike on Dukart was high in just about any ballpark. That call changes the at bat. With runners at 1st and 3rd, it changes the game. Yeah the umpire has been quite generous with those high fastball....but still can’t just stand there like that on the third strike....u foul tip or whatever to stay alive

We haven't scored off Ahlstrom all year. Its frustrating. No. What’s frustrating is that we’ve been in position to score just about all night. But come up empty. Ok I stand corrected. Go Melton!

In a situation where you’re down by a score, but you got the tying run on third, do you really want your guy to be THAT passive at the plate? Come on, Mitch! Come on Mitch? You think he had the take sign on with 2 strikes? Players got to swing the bat.

Melton on 3rd, no outs. Put on a play? I say not until 1 out, then you have to safety squeeze to even the game.

Dukart was covering 3rd either. Yeah, that too but generally on a double steal you throw through, the runner at first has a worse jump. Not how I was coached. Shorter throw to 3rd. But, in any case, we had no one covering any base.

You think he had the take sign on with 2 strikes? Players got to swing the bat. Honestly, I don’t know. But no matter the sign, some coaching needs to be done.
