Did not see the game as I was traveling cross country at an unbelievably bad time on a day not of my choosing. However, I have watched replays and highlights - and, except for the dearth of hitting, at least the pitching and defense showed up. That Madrigal kid is a gamer. Go BEAVS, Ducks lost their second in a row in Palo Alto - and, like I predicted , will be home ironing their state of the art uniforms. Hey Cole - learn to keep your mouth shut!

Arizona beat Hawai'i, which edged the Wildcats' RPI to 24. Arizona State won, as well. The Sun Devils' RPI is 33. There is a chance that one or both host to deprive the SEC of six host spots. The two Arizona schools appear to be the only teams that could potentially host out west.
Washington beat Utah. If the Huskies win either of the last two games, they win the Pac-12, and Utah's season ends without a regional invite. Utah's wins help Oregon State's RPI more than every team but Oregon. However, most projections have the Pac-12 as a four-bid league. If Utah cannot make the tournament, that increases Oregon State's margin for error.
The Beavers can still finish in third place if they sweep and the Trojans come back to win the series against the Devils. Oregon State controls its own destiny to finish in fourth, holding the tiebreaker over Arizona, not that it matters, all-that-much.
Basically, Oregon State punches its ticket with a sweep. A 2-1 series win opens the door to get left out, depending on how the pieces fall.
