Had anyone heard any rumors about any guys in 2016 class we are still in the mix for? Or are we officially done with this class? If we are really done then this will be my first big disappointment of the Tinkle Era. I'm not saying I want him to go sign some 1 start now . I'm more disappointed it got to this point. Anyone who knows anything about osu basketball will openly tell you we dramatically need help at PF. Coming into the season kone will be our only PF on the roster and his health is in question. As I said before I don't want to settle now but I'm just shocked we didn't have a better Plan.
It should be a very easy sale to get him here "hey do you want to come to oregon state a team who just made the tournament and has had back to back really good recruiting classes. Oh and by the way you will have next to no competition at your position because we only have centers". If I'm a jc kid in don't think I can think of a much better situation.
I'm worried we shot for the moon trying to get guys that had tons of powerhouse schools after them and kept striking out. I just wish and honestly thought until now that Tinkle had a PF stashed from over seas or something no one knew about by the lack of urgency I saw to full the role but as time go's by I think we swung and missed at everything and had high expectations for who we wanted which may have been to high and now could leave us crippled. Obviously we hope for the best buy this is a head scratcher for me.

I too wanted a big JC kid. At this point, if Kone red-shirts we'll only have 10 scholarship players.

So we go small and play Tres at the PF. Or we go big and play Eubanks at the PF with Big G at Center. Or Kone gets healthy and is a stud. Actually I totally agree with you guys, and thought we would have no problem landing a JC PF. Maybe Coach has a super stud PF lined up for next year's recruiting class? I think I actually like that we now have a coach that is swinging for the fences. A nice change from past coaches. Maybe that's what it will take to get us to the next level.

I hear there are a few waiting for grades this spring to qualify... could be the case we're waiting for one??? But, we'll need depth in the front line going big or small... I do not want to see us go all "Golden State" with the 3-balls.

I don't know, Golden State had a pretty good season this year. I'd take a .890 winning percentage and a trip to the final four. Picture this: Curry = JaQuori McLaughlin Thompson = Stevie Thompson Iguodala = Malcolm Duvivier Barnes = Keondre Dew Green = Tres Tinkle Rebound? Who needs a stinking rebound.

Your last remark is why this lineup won't work. Draymond can guard bigger opponents as well as the rim, and is a very good rebounder. Tres' game is more along the lines of David Lee in last year's warrior lineup, one that wa rarely seen by season end.
