Tougher still was his throwing error that came around to score the winning run for the Angels. Yikes!

Tougher still was his throwing error that came around to score the winning run for the Angels. Yikes! Madrigal decided to try and get the lead runner rather than making the easy play to first. Jose Iglesias set up in an unusual way on second and the throw was just wide enough to pull Iglesias off the bag. That runner was David Fletcher, who moved to third on a passed ball, and was driven in on Mike Trout to tie the game. The runner behind Fletcher scored the go-ahead run. |

The batter (Ohtani) credited with reaching base on the fielder’s choice throwing error scored the winning run. No error, no winning run scored in the bottom of the 8th. |
