Can we keep them off the offensive glass out of our zone defense. We will need to play a lot of zone to cancel out their athleticism and it often tough to block out in zone because you are not on a specific man. 2) how tight do the refs call the game, if it becomes a wrestling match , we will be in trouble.

I would add a 3rd key. Turnovers. They will likely press us and we need to take care of the ball and break the press. We start turning it over a lot and it will be a long night.

I'll throw bench scoring into the mix. Can we find the right mix quickly enough? Can we spread the scoring around?
It won't be good if one guy is doing all the scoring. I'd like to see a minimum of two guys in double digits for the win. Spread it around. Team mentality.

Reichle needs to contribute, passing and playing D won’t cut it tonight he needs to score 7 or more. Alatishe and Calloo and maybe Silver need to get us some points. Thompson and Lucas will be Houston’s main focus so others have to step up.

I think we'll need to get them into foul trouble, and I think they will oblige more on that front than Loyala Chicago did. Teams that like to play fast get frustrated by our ability to control the pace, and they can get impatient on D trying to change the pace. Meanwhile, our bigs need to defend the rim without picking up a bunch of fouls themselves. Our defense will have to extend, so the lanes will be there. We will need to force them into taking mid-range jumpers and give them lots of one-and ones.

This needs to look like USC v. Oregon last night, a big team with a good defense against a bunch of quick little f*#@ers, pardon my French.
Oregon State just needs to cram the ball down Houston's throat. The Cougars cannot match the Beavers' size. If they double, find the open man and kick it out to a shooter on the perimeter.
On defense, the Beavers need to defend the perimeter, like they have all season and trust their bigs to reject anything in the paint.
Absent foul trouble, stupid mistakes and/or bad luck, this should be an octopus v. crab battle. It might not always be pretty, but the octopus should be able to eventually tie up and kill the crab and move on to Arkansas or Baylor in the Final Four.
