Don't know if many of you bothered to watch.Couple of things of interest to me. Late in the game Sabally appeared to re- injure her surgically repaired knee. She had to be helped to the sideline. It was interesting that at that point Graves took a seat. Can't say he threw in the towel but his body language did. The other thing that caught my attention was Van Lith. They showed a couple of close ups of their huddle during time outs and I noticed she did not seemed engaged with what the coach was saying. Even though they were well on their way to winning, she never showed a smile or appeared to be happy. Just stared blankly ahead. She distributes the ball effectively on offense but did not look for her shot much.

I thought the injury was to her ankle?

I agree with you on Van Lith - she looked and played like she was totally disinterested. I was not impressed at all with any part of her game ! As far as Sabally , they ‘said’ ankle , not the knee .. but, who knows ? Parrish ( I believe ), also turned an ankle ! Apparently , ‘next man up’ does not work for the ducks. The game was lost, well before any of these incidents and there are still several 5 stars on their bench. Chavez looked horrible and miserable, Mikesell was not effective and the bench was also totally out of sync! I do agree that graves was seeing the writing on the wall, very early, and quit coaching! Amazing that this small Louisville team could have their way with the the long and tall ducks . Very half hearted play. Be interesting to see who bails on the ducks !

It was clearly an ankle injury Sabally. Several replays confirmed that. They even showed her with it wrapped in ice later in the game.

Sorry I thought it was her knee. Did not hear about the ankle.

Sorry I thought it was her knee. Did not hear about the ankle. The replay was definitive. She landed on Boley’s foot and her ankle rolled 90 degrees.

Her ankle looked bad, I hope it isn't as serious as it looked.

If anyone deserves a break, it’s that kid. Two ACLs in a row and now a nasty (looking) ankle injury.

At least for Sabally, it was the last game of the year, and I doubt it's something that lingers into next season. If it is, that is really a tough one for her.
As for the comments on Van Lith, I thought she seemed out of place. So much so, that I took a look at the season stats after the game to see how her freshman year went, not knowing that others on this board had questions as well. Perhaps that is just the player she is. I'm wondering how things will go for her once Payton Verhulst shows up. I won't be surprised to see one of the two of them transfer out before their career is over.

There will be more shots available next season, regardless of Verhulst showing up.
HVL had a good Fr. season. She slumped a little down the stretch. She's been scoring w/out taking a lot of shots in the Tourney. Had 17 and 13 in Rd. 1 and 2. Averaged 11.3 ppg, about the same as TvO. Her Tourney performance certainly has been better between the two.

After a terrible first half, Oregon surged in Q3. Cut a 16 point lead in half and had momentum, plenty of game left. Sabally had been on a roll. Then she got hurt and the lead quickly grew again, Ducks couldn't do anything in Q4. Not saying they would've won if she didn't get hurt, but it certainly would've been a closer game.
