Both of our recent grad transfers, Bre and Destiny, didn't seem to work out on the court. Destiny played more but was never THE player for the pigs. I hope both found what they were looking for off the court, both education and personal. And I personally don't think that the transfer raised Destiny's stock for the next level. I don’t know her motives but I don’t think Breanna transferred primarily for basketball reasons. She had graduated from OSU where she was part of 3 Pac-12 champion teams including one Final Four. She had a great opportunity for a change of scenery and a graduate degree from a prestigious University. Undergrad degree from OSU, masters from Georgia Tech. I’d say she made the most of her student-athlete experience.

So if the seniors do not return next year, with Jasmine deciding to return to Australia, we’re down to 10 players of which only 8 contribute anything. That’s the other end of “being loaded.”

I think we made a mistake recruiting just 2 players in 2021

I think we made a mistake recruiting just 2 players in 2021 If everyone comes back, we'll have 11 on scholarship, plus Mannen. That's plenty. And it leaves room for a late transfer, like Mack was last year.

I seriously doubt everyone of the seniors returns.

There are ample opportunities to fill out the roster with transfers and, perhaps, foreign players who haven't committed. You will recall Mitrovic didn't commit until about this time of year.
The only 'elder' player who we really need to return next year is Goodman. If she comes back, your rotation would conceivably include her, Corosdale, Jones, Brown. VanOelhoffen, Kampschroeder, Goforth, Samuels, and Mitrovic. That's 9 players, which is plenty for a regular rotation.
The following year, Aleah and Taya leave, Ashlee, Raegan, and Timea come in. Now you have 10 to include in your rotation, and, presumably, you have all 10 back the following year.
Looking at that, I think just 2 in 2021 will work out just fine.

The transfer portal has changed the way Coaches find players now. Recruiting High School is still top priority, but if you need immediate help, missed out on the high school player you wanted, or just need to add qualilty depth for a championship run, coaches have the portal to turn to. I consider it a positive to see the Beaver coaches keeping an eye on the transfer portal even though it may look like they don't need additional players for next season.
We'll find out if the Beavs do need help when/if we hear of others leaving the program.
