That sucks.
I wish her well in her future endeavors.

Best wishes to Jas. Just never really developed much at OSU, I thought she was gonna be a steal when they signed her.

It had to be hard to not go home in more than a year, best of luck to Jaz. I’m sure missing home played a part, and wing minutes look anything but assured next season.

You could see every time she ran down the court why she was recruited. Have the Beavers ever had a faster player down the court? But she could never develop an offensive game. With Kampschroeder coming in and Samuel seemingly moving ahead of her in the rotation she probably wouldn't have played much next year.
She's a delightful and classy person, the kind of person the Beavers are proud to put on the court. We thank her for the years she's given to the Beavers and wish her the best back home.

I'm sad that things didn't work out for her here. Started the season great and then missed a few 3's and then just stopped even trying to shoot them. Good rebounder and completely changed her passing around. Really nice person the couple of times I talked to her. Will miss her and the chance to say good bye.

She’s never really done much outside of that offensively, and her rebounding uptick was when she was the tallest player on the floor for the Beavs when we played Maddie Washington at center. " Have to say that I agree with you on this. Taya is a solid player, executes her role very well. She passes and outlets very well. But, except for her squared-up 3s, she has very few offensive skills. She has never learned to dribble penetrate to the basket; she virtually never posts up a smaller player. When she nails her 3s she is a great help to the Beaver offence, but without the 3, her point production is very, very low.... Taya is, in some ways, a coaches dilemma. She does so many things right you don't want to take her out, but she produces so few points you want to insert someone with point-power. In a nut shell, Taya's game is best when someone else scores. When someone else doesn't score the team collectively suffers because Taya is not adding to the point production. I like Taya's game. She distributes, she rebounds when she has to and she makes few turnovers. She works hard and is a team-first player. Her limitation is that she cannot produce points. If you have a team that is scoring challenged she becomes something of a problem. If you have a team that scores well, she's a premiere addition. Personally, I don't know what Coach is going to do with her next year. GO BEAVS!! Excellent recap of Taya's game. I remember a couple drives to the hoop by her in her Sophomore year, and then her comments at the end of that season that she was going to work on her inside game that summer, and then she was injured way to early last year to see if she had made progress. Based on this season, she didn't show any evidence of improvement on inside game, but she did hit a really nice mid-range jumper against FSU.
