Beavs are the #2 seed at the Mississippi regional. Opposite a Regional being hosted in Eugene by you know who. Would be nice to beat Mississippi, then pay the dux back back, for what they did to us at Goss.

Long season left, but this is not a great team at this time.

If our offense can pick it up a touch, then we have plenty of time to get into hosting consideration. This team doesn’t have the same talent from the 2017/2018 teams, but it’s not devoid of it either. You might enjoy the season a bit more if didn’t keep knocking every positive take on this board.

I'm knocking every positive. Just hoping for continued improvement at this point. Long way to go to get into the hosting consideration for a regional. Hopefully, we can find some consistent bats. I think MC is going to continue to switch up the lineup until that occurs.

I think MC is going to continue to switch up the lineup until that occurs. I’m pretty disappointed in Ober, Claunch, and Casey—the heart of our order. None has been consistent. At one point, I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking that since no one is hitting, they aren’t getting good at bats. But no. They just are mediocre hitters, which is sad. So I like switching up the lineup. If the guy goes 0-4 against mediocre (to be gracious) Santa Clara pitching, then he’s not going to be worthwhile against UCLA. Move him to the bench.

The #2 seed is a joke at this point in time. Problem with name familiarity is that whoever put the 64 together doesn't know the current situation. if Beavs continue to play like they have recently they will be lucky to stay out of the bottom half of the pac12. Just speaking the truth.

The regular season is played to prepare for tournament time. There is lots of baseball left. I hope to see this team peak at the end of May and make a run in regionals.
It could happen, so you better watch.

I'd be okay with a suspension of the Canham rule on dog piling if the Beavers were to play a Super Regional at P(at) K(asey) Park. Still love the look on the faces in the *uck dugout after the Beavers won the 2017 conference championship in Eugene.

Conference play is always a buzzsaw. Every season, each conference series comes down to a handful of plays. This year's Beaver squad has shown resilience, and the ability to come back from deficits......that's the good. They've also shown a disappearance in hitting, and some defensive lapses. This is not the '18 team at the plate, or in the field....not by a long shot!
I think 2 seed is a good projection, based on our pitching. It could get worse or we could host, based on how we do in conference. We will get the chance to prove it on the field.

Counting Adley, the 2018 team had four (4!!) 1st Round picks, including 1st overall (2019). It will never happen again (and that coming from a believer in 'never say never'). For an exercise in imagination, picture: Joe Casey, Andy Armstrong, and Preston Jones - ALL being First Round picks this summer, and Jake Dukart first OVERALL Pick next year. ....Or, as alternates (for this year) throw in Troy Claunch or Ryan Ober or Kyler McMahan.
"...by a long shot" could be seen as an extreme understatement.
