Sebby gives up the long ball.
So far the only blemish on the day.

Dang that brought back memories of Game 2 Arkansas dropped fly That was actually worse. Easier ball to catch and 5 guys around it instead of 3 Lot of wind out there today. They actually played it better than the pigs because someone actually called for the ball, just wasn't able to make the play. Wind aided

I wonder why they were hiding Forrester the first part of the year. Nice single. Amazing what happens when you hit the ball. Heck of line drive single called a special raindrop.

Wow! Jones beat out the throw on that bunt! And the pitcher threw it hard and fast! Typically once you get about 1/3 of the way thru a game, the #9 / #1 hitter in the lineup becomes a 1-2 punch. Having two speedster / 'make-it-happen' type players at 9 / 1 (Jones / McDowell) is just the kind of ball the Beavs need to go forward with, combined with their pitching staff. Tough to come out and say it, but the Casey/Claunch type hitters are NOT what a strong on defense/pitching team needs in order to succeed. I mean after all, it's not like Casey / Claunch are providing the offense OR the DEFENSE that the team needs to succeed. Having a catcher (Hamilton), and a left side OF defense (McDowell / Jones) that really does the job, is pretty exciting. I'm encouraged.

I like that the additions to the lineup contributed right away to a nice win against a respected pitcher. Guys who sat out today ought to be nervous....

I was going to say that Small Ball in the 5th really got us rolling. Speed, bunts, runners on.

Sure looked like Forrester beat the tag on home plate Replay from behind plate showed....his hand got in there before the tag After Garrett's staring down the home plate ump after his first at bat, he wasn't destined to get a close call at home. MB.
