Roman Silva does what he can with what he has,but he doesn't possess the ability Andela brings to the table. I think he can be someone who can spell Andela when he needs a breather. Silva's vertical isn't as much as his shoe size. Andela can be a force..on offense and rebounding that no one else on this team can match.
Hopefully, the light comes on for Calloo. He has the size, the height, but not the fierceness of Andela. At least not yet. He is more of a perimeter type player at present. Never met a shot he doesn't like, but not willing to be a full time force on the boards. Imagine if we had Andela,Calloo,Alatishe, all pounding the boards at the same time!
My lineup would be Andela, Calloo, Altatishe, Thompson,Lucas. Big bodies to set big screens and then roll to the glass. Then Reichle rotating with the two starting guards.
looking ahead to next year. We will be longer and more athletic with the infusion of Franklin and Johnson into the mix. Those two haven't seen much action, but they tease with their ability. All they lack is the confidence that comes with experience.

You might be right, and I do like Andela's upside, but the lineup they have now seems to be working. I say if it's not broke don't fix it. Adjusting the starting lineup, and adding Lucas, earlier in the year paid off. I just don't think changing things right before the tournament is the right thing to do.

I see the wisdom of starting with the senior 7-footer and then see how the match-ups work out. SR does the same, more-or-less, in bringing TVO off the bench despite her start-worthiness.

Andela should start next year to late to change things now. andela may have never played football but he sure would be a heck of a defensive lineman.

Different scenario. TVO is a pg who brings offense to the mix and gives Aleah a blow. Andela is the force we need inside to help with scoring and rebounding. Only he and Alatishe consistently board well.

Roman's improved a lot over the season; soft shot, nice passing and better angles to the ball. He's never going to be a speed demon but at 7'-1" quantity has a quality all its own. Andele is becoming a major contributor as a backup, and I really look forward to seeing how much he develops over the summer and into fall camp, but right now the starting 5 is pretty solid and when it comes to depth, quantity has a quality all its own as well. Go Beavs!

I like Roman starting - he's a matchup problem, and can get our scoring going early before they are able to go at him and get him in foul trouble. I think he can cause teams to spend more time getting their gameplan flow going as well. That said, the two-man game Andele and Alatishe have going means they should get a lot of minutes on the floor together.
At the end of the day though, its all about what's working in any given matchup.

Next year look out the rest of the pac 12. A juco named Aman is coming to town who is taller than Alatishe and hard to believe this. This guy is more athletic. Check out this guy on the recruiting site. He's a beast.

Rand doesn't have much of an offensive game. He is 6-8 185 and a rebounding beast and has pogo stick like hops. Coach Tinkle said today in an article that next years team will be more athletic than this years. Sounds like music to my ears...

That's interesting, because I feel that this team is the most athletic we have had in years. It does seem to be WT's new focus. Davis, Malone-Key and Rand look very gifted athletically. If WT's new motto is to get guys that can defend anybody, and we'll figure out how to score, that works for me (looks like Davis and Malone-Key can score some though anyway).

Love the athleticism and the defending. Both Andela and Silva have made great strides this year. It’s impressive. I suspect they’ll leave the lineup alone.

I would prefer we stick with what has got us here. Bringing Andela and Hunt off the bench gives our 2nd unit a lot of energy and a different look. It’s a solid change up off the bench. Hopefully Calloo also brings it like he did in the last game.
