We dropped a couple of spots after our lack of offense this past weekend
D1 has us at 23
NCAA also has us at 23
There’s still that love fest for the SEC going on....top 5 spots.
Hoping that our bats are a little more active for this next series

Baseball America and Perfect Game dropped us out of the Top-25 in their Polls.
Oregon, following their 4 game sweep of UCSB and series win over OSU, is now 16th to 20th in every poll.
Now considered a "PAC-12 contender".
There's some motivation for our Conference series with those green weenies.

20 scoreless innings in a row will knock you out of a few polls unless you are SEC. The Schmucks dinged us bad there; motivation - if I were Mitch, I'd have a sheet of paper with 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 on the bulletin board the rest of the season. I don't think it's time to be subtle.

We did not look like a top 25 team over the weekend. It's only because of our deep pitching.....in my crystal ball I see lots of BP this week!

Now considered a "PAC-12 contender". There's some motivation for our Conference series with those green weenies. Humble pie doesn’t taste very good, but I’d say both of these assertions are correct. For now. Unless the Beavs can do something with their at bats to manufacture runs and gain some confidence, it will be hard to climb back into the polls. The Ducks played with great confidence. They hit our pitchers pretty well. Even the third game, though they couldn’t string them together for enough runs. Though they lost, they out hit us 8-5. I like winning, but when we win with only 5 hits and the opposing team has 8, it’s not a comfortable feeling. |
