In Andrew Nemec's article about TG in the Oregonian he says "Prior to sitting out, Gardiner averaged 13.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest, but according to Fremont coach Lisa Dalebout, she has grown in her time away from the court.".....Anyone know what her current injury is??.....Also those 2021 numbers look a little weak for the #4 rated player in the nation??.....However UCLA and Stanford and OSU were her final 3 choices so that says she is probably legit.

Points and rebounds are just a part of a players game so I don't get caught up in them.
ACL was her injury if I recall.

Yeah, "probably" legit, since all 5 WBB recruiting sites have her as #8 or better, as reported earlier by beaverwbb fan. They can't all be wrong! espnW -- #4 ASGR -- #3 PGH -- #8 BlueStar -- #3 ProspectsNation -- One of five five-stars

Knee-injury. Hopefully not ACL - seems more minor. We’ll probably know more after a few articles come out. 13.5 and 7.1 are mostly because she played out of position on a team that blew everyone out and had two 6-4/6-6 posts who clogged the paint in some ways. She can play the three, but her best position is the four. Her numbers will go way up next year when they lose their 6-4 post player to BYU and Timea has to carry a heavier load.

Timea is a great recruit and I'm glad we got her. I'm curious how SR sees her place in the future. His recruits talk about how he envisions where they will be used on the team. Got a lot of really talented bigs coming in and already here now. Where are they all going to go?

Way too soon to say who starts, who subs, and what position people play. One article I saw, however, listed Gardiner as 6'3" and 182 pounds and best suited for the 4 spot. I would guess right now that's where we'll see her.
We're going to be very, very deep in 2022, however. Some awfully good players are going to struggle for minutes.

Wow, just wow. Gone are the days of OSU getting pushed around deep in the tourney. The next few years are shaping up to have teams that just bludgeon opponents with athletic physicality

Thanks beaverwbb, but did ya notice, they called us "Oregon" in the first paragraph (got it right later). Like so many writers and announcers ,it is a blurry difference ? They also consistently ignore Adlee Blacklock ?

It's sad. We all make mistakes, but it's too bad they say "committed to Oregon" on Sunday, and that they left out Adlee as a Beaver commit. But, the good news..... This is a great get for the Beavs! They have been recruiting her for a long time. I have a feeling that she may have been a Beaver lean for years, which would explain why the Beavers didn't offer some very good prospects (Grace Vanslooten, etc). The Beavs were becoming a powerhouse right when Timea was at the age to become interested in college WBB teams, and I beleive she visited Corvallis during her middle school years. Seeing Gill full of fans is no doubt a big positive for young girls. This is amazing news for the Beaver program. Next question? Are the Beavs done for 2022? Lily Hansford holds an offer, and follows the Beavs closely. Oh, and I think this helps 2023 recruiting immensely.
