I saw Jazzy Davidson (reminder: left-handed, 6-1 Fr. From Clackamas High) over the Christmas Holiday. She had 19 points (10-17FG 1-2 on 3’s and 4-7FTs) plus 7 rebs, 7 steals and 4 assists in 19 minutes in their 70-37 win vs. Mountainside of Beaverton (ranked in top 10 at one point). I have been watching Oregon girls HS bball for 50 years and have seen all the greats from Cindy Brown to Cameron Brink (and the others in between: Laurie Milligan, Lindsey Yamasaki, Jamie Nared, and Mercedes Russell to name a few). While I am not ready to say she is the best ever Freshmen or potentially the best ever in Oregon per coach Cole at South Medford, she is very special, high BBall IQ, great all-around game, and enormous potential. Worth a watch if you get a chance.

I found an interesting thing in the article greybeav posted about JD....it says her 6A team starts 5 freshman!!....and that they have already beaten the #1 (then ranked-now #4) team in the state S. Medford!....I would guess that both of these things had never happened before in history anywhere----a girls high school team at the highest level starting 5 freshman and beating the #1 ranked team in the state!!

And how about Jasmine Davidson? She is also listed as having an offer from OSU from right up the road in Clackamas.

Just bringing this one up because of the name. Jenny H did just start following her on twitter, and if you are really interested, there is a little Max Preps and hudl video of her you could watch, but I don't expect this to be someone the Beavs spend a lot of energy recruiting. For short you can call her Fia, but if you want to call her by her full name, here you go...

She would be a fantastic recruit! I'll bet that Ron Callan would learn how to say her name.

Another 2024 recruit, Adhel Tac, a 6-5 center from Texas: Adhel Tac, South Grand Prairie
"The 6-5 sophomore center is in her first season on the varsity but has become SGP’s go-to player. She averages 14.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks for the season, and she averaged 15 points at the 6A Region I tournament as South Grand Prairie beat state-ranked Southlake Carroll and Denton Braswell to advance to the state semifinals for the second straight year. Coach Brion Raven said that Tac has received offers from UNLV, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech and is getting interest from the likes of Tennessee, Louisville, Texas and Oregon State."C Adhel Tac 6-foot-5 South Grand Prairie High School (Texas)Tac is a major stock-rising center who is averaging 18 points on 64% shooting, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks this season. Already holding offers from Texas Tech, Indiana, SMU, North Texas, Lamar, UTSA and Oklahoma State, she will have college coaches following her all spring and summer.
Tac has an interesting background. She began playing the game late in junior high. Rather than focusing on her perimeter skills and neglecting basic fundamentals in the paint, her high school program prioritized her footwork and hands. In turn, she has built a balanced base and grown into a multi-skill threat. She can score on the block, face up and read double teams well. She is comfortable with contact and in the crowded paint.
With her height and mobility, she provides a huge defensive presence as well. Challenging and changing shots in the paint and controlling the boards is a massive advantage. As she learns the nuances of pick-and-roll coverages, as well as how to eliminate some fouls, look for her to be a major impact throughout the rest of her high school career.

OSU WBB could use a guard like Britt Prince! How about the PG for Ohio State! Wouldn't we like to have her at this OSU?

Jordan Lee reminds me of Pivec. She's got that physicality and versatility. Can pull up, post up, hit the three, take it to the hoop:
