I think UCONN's Olivia Nelson-Doda (center, forward) is a bit overrated and Taylor Jones would have some success against her. The key to beating UCONN would be limiting some of the production of Bueckers. Baylor is in the same bracket and if (of course a HUGE IF) OSU would get to the regional final the Beavers would not be intimidated

We match up best vs UCONN vs any other #1. Other than Stanford, South Carolina would be the toughest match up for OSU, given their ability to quickly transition to offense at breakneck speed. Well, Creme of ESPN now has Oregon State as a 9th seed in South Carolina's bracket. Shifted due to several upsets of higher seeded teams in conference tournaments, like 3 in the Big 10 yesterday. It could easily change again, and as we know, Creme's bracket is not official. P.S. I apologize for mispelling Olivia Nelson-Ododa's name in my previous post. Sloppy.

I know The Athletic is behind a pay wall, but this article seems to agree with us and I thought it was worth mentioning: theathletic.com/2443148/2021/03/12/uconn-womens-basketball-wnba-draft-charli-collier-ncaa-tournament/?source=weeklyemail&redirected=1"From a very non-scientific standpoint, every time I watch Stanford, I come away more impressed by their physicality, their weapons and their growth. I think UConn is very good, but their youth lends itself to swings that I don’t see as much with the Cardinal. And as we get closer to the NCAA Tournament, there’s a small voice in the back of my head that keeps saying, “Stanford is the only team in the nation that has lived a reality similar to what teams will experience in the NCAA bubble.” They two months they spent away from home because of COVID-19 restrictions in Palo Alto, Calif., means something in these rankings." "I’d say the main difference is probably consistent strength of schedule. NC State and UConn have each played top competition, but they haven’t faced the kind of quality competition on a weekly basis that Stanford and South Carolina have seen in conference play. Simply put: The middle tier of the Pac-12 and SEC is better than that of the ACC and Big East. How that all translates into a wild NCAA Tournament? We’ll see."

and one more piece (note a subscription is only $1 / month for several months:
"What team do you think has the most potential, but right now is flying under the radar? — Colleen B.
Oregon State is a team that jumps to mind. The Beavers played just 15 games during the regular season because of various COVID-19 pauses. So the more time this group spends together on the court, the better it’ll be. They showed that to be true by knocking off Oregon twice in their last three games."
