'Pretty difficult not to be impressed by a lot of the new additions to the roster....especially some of the new pitchers. My question....are these largely Mitch's recruits or pretty much recruits that had committed to the older regimes (i.e.,..Casey, Bailey).
In any case, this appears as if this current group might a pretty potent outfit.

Anyone marked down as a soph/redshirt Frosh is a mix - pure frosh, Mitch.
Guys from the 2018 NC Team.....
The new additions are excellent, but we are stacked with guys who wear that ring. It is really unusual (except for this past year with the Covid season and Covid pro draft) to have anything close to the core leadership this team has. The same can be said for a lot of the major programs, but especially for our squad.

The Lion's share of our current roster likely initiated or experienced recruiting contact during the years of 2017 through 2019.
MC and staff began their involvement in the early spring of 2020. The recruiting class of 2020 was fairly set with Casey/Bailey recruits but Canham/Gipson and Dorman added a few key pieces that will impact the 2021 season and beyond. Dorman went after JuCo aces Salgado and Watkins and landed promising prep, Jonah Giblin. Catcher Gavin Logan and RHP Brock Townsend were also added to the class. The staff did a commendable job keeping the class together with the unpreventable exeption of losing the Phillies $5m man, Mick Abel.
With the announced class of 2021, a blended effort of the Casey/Bailey/Yeskie staff and the current coaching staff MC and his group of coaches are now fully engaged with building the classes of 2022, 2023 and 2024. Early results with those classes are exciting.

The guys recruited by Casey/Bailey hung around and didn't leave when Canham came on board. I don't think we're going to see a drop off in quality of recruits in the coming years.
