Should be a lot of movement in the polls tomorrow. If misery truly loves company, then we should be in love.
Beavs have lost 9 of their last 13 games, and are in a four way tie for 6th place in the Pac-12. Wow, when was the last time we were 6th? RPI has fallen all the way to 67. I hate it, but it is what it is. Strong likelihood they pooped away a post-season bid this weekend. Rod Dedeaux field in SoCal has not been kind to us, so I do not expect to come away with a series win there either. Very frustrating season, for us, the players, and the coaches. Losing the series to hole is just icing on the bitter cake that's being served. They didn't have many fans at Goss, but they sure made a lot of noise today. Dam them, dam them to hell.

Yet another lost weekend, it will be over soon enough,I don't see a playoff team in sight, then on to fall camp and another "exciting" year on the turf!! Are we a basketball school again? Gonna be a long summer for the baseball players, they have under performed greatly, and it's not looking great next year either.

I am very confused at this post. Oregon State is 5-8 over the last 13, 5-8 against Pac-12 teams over the last 13, and 5-8 in conference over the last 13. Plus, 6th was to start the day. Oregon State is now in a four-way tie for 7th, not 6th. California has the four-way tiebreaker. Currently, Stanford has the three-way tiebreaker (although the Beavers would have the tiebreaker if they sweep UCLA). So, Oregon State is currently in 9th. The last season Oregon State finished 7th was 2010. The Beavers were invited to the Gainesville Regional as a three seed and finished third, eliminated by Florida Atlantic. The last season Oregon State finished 9th was 2003, when there were only nine teams in the Pac-10. With two weeks to go 2008, Oregon State was 25-20. The Beavers finished with a three game set at Dedeaux, a game at Long Beach State, and a three-game homestand against Pacific. Oregon State got swept against USC, losing by 2, 3, and 1 runs. The Beavers then lost to the Dirtbags. Returning home, Oregon State swept Pacific to finish 28-24 with an RPI in the mid- to high-50's. As two-time defending champions, the RPI should have been no problem. The problem was that the Beavers finished with only 28 wins. The NCAA has an unofficial rule that bars teams from competing in the Tournament with fewer than 29 wins. Oregon State finished one game short of 29 and out of the Tournament. The postseason is beginning to look unreachable, but I posted earlier that 36 wins gets Oregon State to the postseason. I still think that that is realistic. The Beavers need to sweep both series. Each game is becoming more and more backs against the wall, do-and-die. Oregon State needs to come out strong against the Los Angeles schools and do the University proud. 2008 was the last time that the Beavers were kept out of the Regionals. Here is hoping that 2016 Oregon State does not leave any winnable games on the table at Dedeaux and then sweeps UCLA to finish. Otherwise, we are all looking at the longest off-season since 2008.
