We should get the nod on getting ranked. Massey has Beav's at #2 right now and that doesn't include today's win. I'm liking the pitching depth and we are getting some decent at bats from Preston Jones, Andy Armstrong. I didn't like coach having Casey bunt when he did.....Casey is too good of a batter to play that card when he did. Preston was quiet the first two games of this series but he was showing some mojo today.

I don't put much stock in rankings (except when we're at/near the top, of course), but I wouldn't be surprised to see us debut at 15 or higher this week. That said, I haven't done my homework to see what the rest of the top 25 did since last Monday.

Teams that had losing weekends: #1 Ole Miss #6 Miami #12 Virginia #13 NC State #16 Wake Forest #18 Tennessee (split home series with Indiana State) #21 Auburn #24 Florida State #25 Duke Oregon State could neatly slide into the top 25 after that weekend. |

I bet if we had blown open a couple of those games with double digits then they would’ve shown us more love. I’m OK with #20, though. We still have more growing to do. |

I knew D1 would show some love. Not ranked in baseball America, or Perfect Game......PG actually had Wazzu in their "considered" but not OSU.
The rankings will sort themselves out over the season obviously.....But it is interesting that we couldn't crack the top 25 in BA and PG after a 4 game road sweep of a program who smoked a P5 school, and is picked to challenge for the WAC..... Obviously I'm biased, but I don't think you can convince me that the Beavs are outside the top 25 right now.....on pitching and defense alone we can compete with any team in the nation.

Razorbacks ranked #1 in at least three polls. I guess they haven't dropped any pop flies lately.
