Love listening to Aleah, such a nice, intelligent person. Have sat next to her mother and sister at the OSU games a few times. Just a genuinely nice family.
I could do without John Canzano.

The day the Oregonian fires John Canzoni is the day that I consider re-subscribing. FTG.

Aleah will be a really good coach one day.
She did a good job of answering his often crappy questions.

So I wasn't the only one thinking he was a bad interviewer. Agree the SI question was loaded and unfair. Go BEAVS!

Good thing Aleah doesn’t live to please us. No matter how well she answers the questions, someone will always be unsatisfied lol

She is a great representative of OSU. I liked how she named off past players who were leaders and role models that she learned from. Well done Aleah!

Gravitas, she needs more gravitas. Sheesh, sounds like she's having fun ALL the time. Whatsa matter with her?? She speaks fairly well other than that. She is capable of stringing more than 9 words together without throwing in a 'like', 'all like', or 'ya know' where it doesn't belong, which puts her well ahead of most of our young people. Starting every response with 'yeah', however, is a weakness in her communication skills. She would be well served if somebody pointed that out to her now so she could fix it before it hurts her. Her degree is in education. Would you hire someone to teach your kids if she displayed lazy speech habits?

Actually pretty f-ing ironic considering the general (il)literacy level on display around these parts.

Unless you regularly are doing things like Toastmasters, I'm pretty sure a recording of yourself being interviewed would have lots to pick apart. Most people use filler words in their speech, or the come across as slow to speak. I suspect nobody would bat an eye if she was using "uh, um, well, so" instead of those listed (and I didn't anyway, as filler word choices tend to vary by culture and generation).
