To get to the NCAA tournament.
4 games Left, Stanford at home, UCLA, USC, and Oregon on the road. Does 2-2 get you into the Dance? ESPN currently has us as the "next 4 out" list so we need to leapfrog about 6 teams on average.
Discuss.....

I think that in order to get an invite we need to win at least 3 of the remaining games and even that is a huge stretch. I'm not sure all 4 would even do it.

Winning all 4 would give you 3 top 8 wins in the current NCAA net rating. I think winning all 4 gets you easily in and looking at a 5 or 6 seed.

If we can beat Stanford and UCLA, then yes it will be enough. USC is having a pretty decent season, but if one of the wins is against USC, then I think we will probably need two others in order to get in. If we can make up a game or two, that would be helpful. It would be nice to play ASU at least once. That win would be helpful. Also can't forget about the Pac 12 tournament. This will be another opportunity to win a meaningful game. Not sure that i answered the question directly, but there is a little more to it that just the 4 remaining games. At the end of the day, we need to get a couple of wins against good (tournament) teams and / or those that are on the bubble with us. We don't have any at this point.

Winning all 4 gets you there, and probably 3 as well. Unfortunately, losing all four of those games is very possible. Seems like the Beavs are getting the tougher end of things. Playing Stanford, but not Cal, playing Washington State, but not Washington, playing Arizona but not Arizona State. Oh well, it's just a crazy year, but next year looks bright (in my eyes). I do wish the Beavs would have done as Oregon did, and pick up a game (or two) along the way. Would have given them a much better chance of making the tourney.

I do think there is a good chance there are other games added to the schedule, a trip up to Washington perhaps, and possibilities of extra games in Vegas during the tournament, but I wanted to just focus on the games that we knew where on the schedule. Regardless, Beavs need to rack up some victories.

They may be able to pick up a game to replace Cal, that would help a lot.

Lets make up both Cal games and the Washington game!
Records are somehwhat arbitrary this year because of who has played who.
We were lucky to get Utah and Colorado twice.
Our record would likely look a lot different if we played Washington twice and Washington State once, Arizona State instead of Arizona, Cal instead of Stanford this weekend, etc. Sane can be said for probably every team in the league.
Regardless, not pulling out at least one of the Wazzu games and losing to Utah made it an uphill climb to the tournament.

Regardless of how we do in the last 4 plus the conference tournament, Scott's major job is building confidence after this season is mercifully behind us. The team needs to look at this season as a total aberration, put it behind them, and start looking at showing their true colors next year at Gill in front of 6,000 people.
I think the NCAA did a good thing giving everybody the extra year. For our seniors, and many others around the country, you don't want to go out like this.
