Ok, while we wait for action to resume. Who's your starting 5 next season? It will be difficult to predict in that everybody could be back, but there is always the threat that some could transfer out, and some could decide to hang it up and move on. I'm thinking Talia, Aleah, Sasha, Taylor and Taya. That one in particular was the tough pic. My guess is Kennedy needs time to get back into real games, and Ellie probably won't stick around. I like the 'small six' of Talia, Aleah, Sasha, Greta, Savannah, and Jasmine the Beavs should have for next season.

I think there is a chance if everyone comes back, they keep the same starting 5 but Talia and Kennedy enter the game very early in quarter 1. (IE 3-4 minutes in). If Ellie doesn't come back, I can trying to play real big and playing Taya at the 3, or starting Jaz or Gretta at the 3. I do think most likely, we will see Talia and KB coming off the bench to start the season. Talia because we want to make sure we always have her or Aleah on the floor, and KB just because I can't see Scott not starting Taya as a senior, he just trusts her to be in the right place. Really interesting lineup options all around though.

Does anyone see Samuel leaving? Will be so guard heavy, she might not see the court next year. Simmons either. Brown will be more than ready by next fall.

Who knows what transfers will be back after this covid year G-TVO G-Goodman G-Goforth F-Jones C-Brown Corosdale Kampschroeder Mitrovic Mack Samuel This is the correct starting lineup. If Talia isn't our best player by the end of this season, she will be by the start of next season, so she has to start. With Aleah, that gives us 2 good ballhandling playmakers. Sasha obviously needs to start. As much as she might not like to admit it, Brown is a natural center. She can't really shoot the 3 and we don't want her fast-tracking it down court or full-court pressing where she is at risk of messing up her knee again. She will be most effective as an inside defender and scorer, so I hope she is willing to admit that and accept a new role. That leaves Jones to complete the starting lineup. When you look at the next 5 listed, you can see lots of talent there, so it should be a strong team.

Even if I agreed with your argument about Brown (I don't), Taylor Jones currently does not have the skill set to be an effective 4 in our system. If you argue that Kennedy should be a 5, then Taya is starting, not Taylor.

As for guards, I think the starters will be: (1) Talia, (2) Aleah, (3) Sasha. A fifth-year senior and two underclassmen. Two combo-guards in Talia and Aleah who are equally capable of scoring and passing, then a slashing and shooting guard/wing in Sasha who can put points on the board and defend. I think Greta will be first off the bench followed by Savannah and Jasmine. Greta has a superior IQ and shot compared to those two, but they'll both have the edge in experience. Greta is a fundamental, do-it-all guard. If she is Pac-12 ready, we'll have a really good backcourt.
For the forwards, I would say start Mack/Corosdale and Jones, then bring Kennedy first off the bench for either position. Mack and Corosdale could also see some minutes at the three much like this year. Brown is superior defensively to Mack and Corosdale, but those two are much better three point shooters (when hitting).

What is really nice is we will have some talented options to go to next year if all are healthy. Nice problem to have...

Neither are conducive for a 4. Brown can play both the 4 and 5.
