I hope there is one thing we can all agree on. We hate the ducks.
For some of us, like the late and great Beavermobile, that hatred for everything duck plumbs the depths of our very soul.
In their jealousy and envy of our success in Omaha, they destroyed their wrestling program. Then they hired a coach who was not from this area, who acted like he knew nothing about the hard work, years of sweat, and the vision of Pat Casey. Shortly after he arrived in Eugene, George Horton ran his mouth about how he was going to be the dominant team in the state of Oregon. In the process he disrespected every Beaver fan that ever lived, disrespected our program, and especially disrespected Pat Casey. I will never forgive him for that.
It is our duty, as their mortal enemy, to destroy them on the field of battle when they come to our house. By Sunday afternoon I want to see their broken and mangled carcass drag itself out of the stadium, get on the team bus, and wish they had never come to Corvallis.
