Is this kid a D-1 collegiate wrestler? Has anyone seen him in football and his future?

Is this kid a D-1 collegiate wrestler? Has anyone seen him in football and his future? He's a d1 quality wrestler, as he's ranked like 9th or something by some set of rankings, but he may want to play football more. He's coming in at the same time as Barnes, and although he beat Barnes last season, Barnes better. Probably doesn't want to be his training partner for the next 4 or 5 years. I'd take them both, though. |

Reese beat incoming Beav Jacob Barnes to win 6A state title last year. Barnes went 2-0 vs Reese in regular season and league tournament. In 2019 Reese beat Barnes 4-3(SV) for 3rd at state. Definitely a D1 caliber wrestler and great to have some wrestlers in the trenches!

Definitely a D1 caliber wrestler and great to have some wrestlers in the trenches! Barnes said he didn't take Reese seriously in the final last year. Take it for what it's worth, could just be sour grapes, but he seemed genuine. Barnes is really good, if not the best greco HW in the country, as he has beaten Liddle and Copass, but his collegiate style isn't as strong. I don't know how much tossing people around he will be doing in college, but I think he has a high ceiling. Can he beat his brother yet? Will he be our starter next season? |

Some guys can play two sports...some guys can't. Orndorff was great at both. Jess Lewis...yes. Others who didn't try but were really good in high school like Kyle DeVan.
