They can't get the runs across when they get a chance. First and Third no outs in the game and can't even get one run across. They let a pitcher from Portland with an era of over 5 shut them down. No hits when they need them. Big mistake to try to stretch a double into a triple. Pitching is failing them. Really miss Twedt and Rasmussen on that side of the ball. Martinek having a hard time coming back from injuries isn't good. The team is better than this but when things get going the wrong direction it snowballs. Now I hope as I write this the Beavers comeback to win but I am not holding my breath.

You are right, they aren't good. Hopefully, will be better next year with healthly players.

Probably worst loss so far this year......team is trending down fast. Can't believe the 5 walks in a row.......just bad pitching and one bad inning decided this game.

That's four pitchers we were counting on. It's tough to win with those limitations. They must really be feeling low.

Part of the blame for this loss is on the coaches. Why in the hell did they leave a guy in who issues four straight free passes? The 4th inning was pathetic. The out at third late in the game is also in part on the coaching. The 3rd base coach waved him in, and it took a perfect throw and relay to get him out. They rolled the dice on that one and lost. We outhit the Pilots 12-7, and should have easily beaten them, but one disastrous inning cratered it for them. Bad loss, bad effort.

Next year, I see him competing for the Saturday Starting Spot. Femehl should be the Sunday Starter. Thompson needs to be the Tuesday/weekend long reliever guy. He is just not getting it done.

I assume we will have David Brosius back as well. No idea what to expect out of him, but hey it's another lefty arm.
