Two years ago the traffic getting off I-5 from the south was so bad it took me one hour to get to the stadium, from the exit. I haven't been back since. Was it better last year?

I will be going but live in Salem. Your best bet might be to take an earlier exit and go through town. Based on your previous experience, I would take the North Salem exit and go into Keizer and come in on Lockhaven. That brings you to the stadium from the other direction.

Better yet... get off the same Keizer Station exit but turn RT... go to 99W and go left... 1.5-2 miles turn LT on Perkins it takes you over the freeway... LT on 35th NE... takes you right to the back entrance to the stadium... usually side gate will be open for bigger games (always for Volcano games).
You miss all the mall and incoming freeway traffic. Even some side road free parking id you're there early enough... they gave put up barriers for Volcano games, not sure for this game. They typically have minimal staff.
