Seem very mechanical with the passes. Maybe that is not the right word but there needs to be some crisper ball movement

What is with Jones? This is the worst I've seen her play I think. Offense completely disappeared in Q2. On pace for almost 30 TOs.
How many times did Utah just rip the ball away? Rebounds, loose ball scrambles, when the Beavs picked up their dribble, maintaining possession was a huge issue.

Utah is taking away the 3 and defending our bigs well by pushing Jones to sharper angles and slapping at the ball with Jelena bringing the ball down. I'd like to see us go to a smaller lineup and have Goforth, Samuel and Simmons going downhill to the basket to soften up that extended defense. The lanes are there, but not with Jones/Jelena posting posting in the middle of them.

A little concerned with how often Aleah's attempted drives to the hoop end up with the ball bouncing off her leg for either a turnover or OOB. |

Wow, that was BAD. Turnovers and more turnovers, poor passing, poor rebounding, lack of hustle....Beavers better turn it around HUGE in the second half, or they will lose. With this kind of play, expect a 30 point loss to Oregon on Sunday.

Uninspired. Lack of effort. No energy. The result is turnovers and giving up offensive rebounds. Somebody needs to light a fire under them at half.

Rueck needs to teach some fundamentals: When you get a rebound, protect the ball from your opponent and hold it tight. When you decide to go to the basket, put the ball on the ground before you move your feet, not after you move your feet. We just don't have good natural athletes with the exception of Aleah and Sasha and Savannah. Maybe we could hire that South Dakota State JackRabbits coach who isn't obsessed with just recruiting the tallest players around?
